Youth Ministry has been in operation at Kingsgrove since Antioch graced its hall in 1983. For many years this was the only form of Catholic growth for young people until Young Vinnes found its home 10 years later at Kingsgrove in 1994.

The future of the youth at Kingsgrove soon came to the forefront of the parish’s mind, and so, in 2001, a part time Youth Minister was employed. Since these humble beginnings, Kingsgrove Youth Ministry has grown in huge proportions by the grace of God.

Kingsgrove Youth Ministry adopted the name SOAR, meaning Standing On A Rock. Our aim is for the young people of our parish to find the solid ground of Jesus and then soar above the clouds in their faith. Although SOAR at Kingsgrove Youth Ministry is still in its beginning stages, we have already begun to see young people grow deeper in their faith and love of Christ.
