Architecture Work Experience
To proceed to the Master of Architecture, students need to have a credit average in their undergraduate degree and complete the Architectural Experience Requirement listed below:
- Minimum of 18 weeks in an architectural office, logged in AACA book (for more information, please visit NSW Architects Registration Board)
- Field study in relation to architecture (this may include international field study)
- Study at an Australian or overseas tertiary institution in a relevant discipline
- Complete the 1 year BDesArch Honours Program.
- Or any approved combination of the above.
Log Books for Architecture Work Experience
Students who intend to progress to the Master of Architecture, after they have completed the Bachelor of Design or the Bachelor if Design in Architecture, are required to complete a period of work experience. This is to be documented in a log book, which is available for purchase from the NSW Architects Registration Board. The log book is also required by the Board for registration as an architect in NSW. Insurance cover for Students
The University has a personal accident insurance policy that covers enrolled students. The policy provides cover whilst the student is engaged in Campus/ Course/ University related activities and/ or practical placement or community placement activities including the necessary direct travel to and from such activities. The policy, and a letter you can provide to employers, can be found at the University Insurance website
